It now works the same as when you would set it up on the modulation page (source:note - destination:filter freq) 21/09/2014 + added velocity and keyboard tracking parameters to the filter page. + assigned CC & NRPN for velocity (108) and keyboard tracking (109) parameters + when saving, name/(empty) are now displayed while browsing for a location + on the save page I added a 'clear' name button. + changed active parameter to fully uppercase instead of the first letter only. + set first character to 'a' when editing or entering new patch name, works a bit faster. DESCRIPTION I made a few changes to the user interface that makes it a bit easier or faster for me to get things done. These aren't radical changes and won't affect the sound engine, sound quality, patch structure or remove existing functionality whatsoever. (no compatibility problems) This mod is based on the latest Ambika firmware v1.0 from Emilie Gillet. DISCLAIMER The software is tried and tested on my Ambika (with SMR4 voicecards and should work with other voicecards). There are no known problems, it doesn't hang or crash. Though, if you are going to flash your own Ambika, I’m not in any way responsible for any damage, bricked devices or locked firmware updates. You may use it at your own risk. UPRGADING VIA SDCARD files: motherboard (ambika.bin) voicecards (voice1.bin) - duplicate voice1.bin and change its file number depending on how many voicecards you have installed. ex: voice1.bin, voice2.bin, etc ... - copy motherboard and voicecard BIN files to the root of your sdcard. - on the Ambika, go to the library page (S8) => more (S7) => about (S3) - upgrade motherboard firmware (ambika.bin) by pressing upgrade (S1) on the left side of the screen. (wait until it resets) - To upgrade the firmware for the voicecards you need to press upgrade (S4) on the right side of the screen you can select which voicecard you want to upgrade by using the dial knob. port1 = voicecard 1 etc ... You need to do this for all installed voicecards. - reset your Ambika and you're done. You can read more on upgrading your firmware in the Ambika manual on Mutable Instruments website. Look for "Firmware update" and "Emergency firmware update". http://mutable-instruments.net/ambika/manual ORIGINAL FIRMWARE if something goes wrong and you need to use the Emergency firmware update, here are the latest unmodded firmware files (you may need to rename the files before flashing). http://mutable-instruments.net/static/firmware/ Or visit the Mutable Instruments forum to find out about the latest firmware.
